What trauma therapy actually looks like
Modern trauma therapy is paced, collaborative, and in your control. There's no expectation that you'll re-tell every detail of what happened.
We build stability and resourcing first — sleep, regulation, support. Then, when ready, we work with the trauma itself using approaches like EMDR-informed work or somatic processing.
Throughout, you set the speed. The goal isn't to forget what happened. It's to make the memory feel like history instead of a present-tense alarm.
